I hope your season is off to a great (albeit cold and blustery) start. I wanted to touch base today about Fairfax Little League’s 66th anniversary event. Baseball is America’s pastime, and we are excited to bring our players, coaches, and families together for this event!
This event is taking the place of the opening day parade. All players are invited and expected to come! Anyone with questions or an interest in volunteering can contact Erin Hildreth, [email protected]
Date of event: April 30
Timing: Players and coaches have a call time of 8AM; Start time 9AM
Location: Providence 3 and 4
Timeline:
8:00 AM—Kids are to report to Providence Fields where they will be put into groups according to their league and team. Everyone should wear their full uniform (aside from cleats), and teams should have their banners.
9:00 AM—Teams will be announced as they enter the field
9:40 AM—National Anthem | Introduce State Champ All-Stars to lead the kids in the Little League Pledge
9:45 AM—Kevin Plummer, League President to give comments & recognize any special guests
9:55 AM—Special guest to throw out the first pitch
Food trucks will be on-site with goodies to purchase. You can also get Fairfax Little League swag to help you cheer the players throughout the season.
